The 200-year-old Trompenburg (located in the Kralingen district of Rotterdam) Trompenburg Gardens & Arboretum is along a large museum collection of trees, shrubs, bulbs and tubers.

Trompenburg Gardens & Arboretum is the green pearl in the city of Rotterdam. Throughout the year admiring visitors come and enjoy exploring the gardens. Nature’s beauty changes magically with each new season. This former country estate covers 20 acres and boasts a magnificent collection of plants that includes very old beeches and oaks, 700 varieties of rhododendron, more than 100 varieties of holly, the Dutch National Collection of Hostas and countless others.
In the Trompenburg Gardens & Arboretum you can find a dedicated succulent greenhouse (Succulentenkas). This indoor desert oasis houses a vast collection of cacti and succulents in all shapes and sizes from North and South America, as well as Africa.
