[June 12, 2019] Last month designJAAP has made architectonic photos of the housing estate De Kiefhoek.
De Kiefhoek is a neighbourhood in the South of Rotterdam. It is a housing estate designed by Oud in 1925 and built between 1928 and 1930. The dwelling units were intended for less prosperous workers’ families. Some 300 dwelling units, two shops, a hot-water service, two raised playgrounds and a church ad up to the housing estate. The plan is based on elongated rows of standardise two-storey units.
